Studio evaluations took place earlier this week in Bangkok when representatives from Asian University were invited to have a preview of how one of the new concepts of blended learning, the Massive Open Online courses (MOOCs) should be delivered.

Basically, the secret to blended learning is to make the lessons interesting and fun – a bit like a face-to-face teaching, that, and of course the quality of the sound and recording is of paramount, hence the decision to let the experts do the recording and the teachers do the presenting.

Recordings of the Basic English language program for a special project with IPT, where Asian University help Thai teachers improve their proficiency will start in January 2015. More about that next month because, right now, beavering away back at the campus, the lecturers are putting their final touches to what they hope will be very rewarding courses.
